대상지는 경포호수와 경포앞바다를 동시에 관망할 수 있는 특별한 장소이다. 도시속 일상을 벗 어나서 대자연을 체험하기 위해서, 숙박객에게 최대한 좋은 관망을 제공해야 했다. 호수와 바다 가 함께 있는 특별한 경험을 건물 내 곳곳에서 체험시키고자 했다. 묵직한 매스에 동굴처럼 파 인 입구는 궁금함을 고조시킨다. 진입한 후 1미터 가량 들어올려진 로비에서 극적으로 집중화 된 프레임 뷰는 호수에 대해 깊은 인상을 제공한다. 터널 같은 엘리베이터와 계곡 같은 복도를 지나서 들어간 객실은 파나로마 뷰를 제공하여 여정을 마친다

 

K호텔은 숙박시설자체가 하나의 여정으로 느껴지는 감성적 동선을 주제로 했다. 깊이감, 높이 감, 대비감, 확장됨과 낯설음 등을 주제로 한 비일상적 공간 및 형상 등은 여행의 목적을 상기시 켜주고 다양한 크기의 뚫림과 계곡, 절벽과 같은 형상들은 건물이 아닌 경험으로서의 장치를 제 공하고 있다.

 

 

The site commands uniquely a fine panorama of the ocean and lake together. This natural condition allows that guests get away from it all. There are several hidden places where guests can enjoy the natural beauty. The gate feels like entering the cave which stimulated people's curiosity. The elavated lobby leads to the Window that is overlooking the Kyoung-po lake. This striking scene would inspire wonder and admiration. Along the dark elevator and corridor, guest come to a room has spectacular view.

 

Hotel K itself consists of a mix of journey and emotional route. Unusual space and form create depth, high, contrast and extension that shows the unknown world. For the purpose of journey, the building composes a poem of experience through void, valley and cliff.
