담양 삼다리 주택 2026.1

DAMYANG SAMDARI HOUSE

 

 

 

 

이 주택은 연꽃이 만개한 삼다재 저수지를 앞에 두고 있으며, 영산강과 합쳐지는 용천이 있는 삼다리 마을에 위치해 있다. 주변은 논으로 둘러싸여 있어 계절마다 다양한 풍경을 연출한다. 특히 봄철에는 벼가 자라기 전 물이 가득 찬 논이 마치 바다 위에 떠 있는 섬처럼 보여 인상적인 장면을 만들어낸다.

이러한 자연적 요소들은 설계에 큰 영향을 주었다. 단독주택의 프라이버시를 확보하는 동시에 주변의 자연과 조화를 이루는 것이 주요한 과제였기 때문이다.

도로 쪽에서는 주택의 매스가 담장의 역할을 하여 외부의 공공 영역과 내부의 사적인 공간을 명확히 구분해 주었다. 현관으로 진입할 때는 공공성과 프라이버시가 자연스럽게 전환되도록, 완충 공간의 개념을 도입했고, 현관은 위요된 공간으로 구성되어 있으며, 상부를 오픈시켜 하늘이 네모난 프레임처럼 보이는 공간을 지나 주택 안으로 진입하도록 설계했다.

실내는 주방, 식당, 거실이 하나의 열린 공간으로 연결되어 있어 개방감을 주며, 가족이 함께 모여 이야기 나누기에 좋은 대공간을 형성했다. 거실의 좌측에는 작은 마당이, 우측에는 넓은 마당이 자리하고 있다. 작은 마당은 담장과 건물로 둘러싸여 아늑하고 프라이버시가 보호되는 공간으로, 식사나 놀이를 위한 장소로 활용된다. 넓은 마당은 정원과 함께 아이들이 뛰어놀 수 있는 활기찬 외부 공간으로 계획했다.

2층에서는 넓은 테라스를 통해 삼다재 저수지의 풍경을 감상할 수 있도록 하였으며, 복도와 계단 공간은 오픈되어 있어 시각적 개방감을 주고 가족 간의 소통이 자연스럽게 이루어지도록 설계했다.

This house is located in the village of Samdari, where the Yongcheon stream joins the Yeongsan River, and faces the Samdajae Reservoir, beautifully adorned with blooming lotuses. Surrounded by rice paddies, the area presents different landscapes with each season. In spring, before the rice grows, the water filled paddies create the impression of an island floating on a sea, offering a particularly striking view.

 

These natural elements had a significant influence on the design. The main challenge was to ensure the privacy of a single-family home while harmonizing with the surrounding environment.

 

On the road-facing side, the mass of the building functions as a wall, clearly separating the public space outside from the private interior. A transitional buffer space was introduced at the entrance to create a natural shift from public to private. The entryway is designed as an enclosed area, with an open ceiling that frames the sky in a square, guiding visitors into the house through this thoughtfully crafted space.

 

Inside, the kitchen, dining area, and living room are seamlessly connected in an open-plan layout, creating a spacious and welcoming environment ideal for family gatherings and conversations. To the left of the living room is a small courtyard, while a larger yard sits to the right. The small courtyard is enclosed by walls and the building itself, forming a cozy, private space perfect for dining or play. In contrast, the larger yard is an active outdoor area combined with a garden, where children can run and play freely.

On the second floor, a wide terrace provides a panoramic view of the Samdajae Reservoir. The hallway and staircase are designed as open spaces to enhance visual openness and encourage natural communication among family members.
