도시의 장면을 담다
‘Multiple F.R.A.M.E’

인천시 계양구 중심가는 계양구청을 중심으로 문화, 주거 등 다양한 삶과 행위가 공존하는 생기가 넘치는 곳이다. 또한 주변에 중소규모 호텔들이 들어서고 있었기에 계획 초기 단계부터 다른 호텔과 차별성을 가지되, 주변 환경의 분위기를 담을 수 있는 호텔 계획에 주안점을 두었다.

계획 대지 주변으로 빈틈없이 빼곡하게 건물이 들어선 거리가 조성되어 있었기 때문에, 트여있는 외부공간을 호텔 내부로 최대한 끌어들이고자 하였다. 비교적 높은 건물이 인접한 북측으로 코어와 서비스 공간을 집중시켰고, 저층부는 카페와 레스토랑, 피트니스 센터 등 부대시설을 배치하였다. 그로 인해 객실은 전면도로인 계양문화로 측과 인접 건물에 가려지지 않는 남측 고층부로 배치할 수 있었고, 남측에 전면도로가 주는 도심의 풍경과 계양구청 앞 넓은 광장을 조망하는 객실을 계획할 수 있었다. 여기에 더 나아가 각 객실에 발코니를 계획하여 객실마다 직접적인 외부공간을 제공하였다. 루프탑 라운지로 열려있는 옥상층은 휴게 공간과 조경이 한데 어우러져 트인 시야와 개방감을 느낄 수 있는 자연 친화적 공간으로 탄생하였다.

외장재로 사용된 노블스톤과 복층유리가 만들어내는 면 분할은 안정적 비례로 절제된 형태미를 한층 더 돋보이게 하며, 적절한 위계 속에서 주변과 조화를 이룬다.
돌출된 석재가 유리매스를 감싸는 프레임 형태의 디자인은 입면에 입체감을 불어 넣어 간결함 속에서 세련된 아름다움을 선사함과 동시에, 외부 도시 경관들이 프레임 안으로 스며들어와 호텔 내부의 다양한 활동과 연계되어 또 다른 풍경으로 연출된다.

The downtown in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, is a place full of vitality where different lives and actions such as culture and housing coexist with the Gyeyang-gu Office at the center. In addition, since small and medium-sized hotels were being built nearby, it was differentiated from other hotels from the beginning of the plan but focused on hotel plans that could capture the atmosphere of the surrounding environment.
Because the adjacent streets are packed with buildings, we intended to open the hotel inward as much as possible. Therefore, the core and service spaces are concentrated in the northern area adjacent to relatively higher buildings. Additional facilities such as cafes, restaurants, and fitness centers are placed on the lower floors.
Due to this, the rooms can be placed in the high southern floors, which are not blocked by the adjacent building and Gyeyangmunwha-ro, a front road, and the rooms overlooking view of the city center and the vast square in front of Gyeyang-gu Office can be planned. One step further, balconies are placed in each room, providing direct external space. The rooftop floor opened to the rooftop lounge is harmonized with leisure space and landscape and created into a nature-friendly space where open view and openness can be felt.
The side division created by Noble stone used as exterior building materials and the insulated glass further emphasized the controlled beauty in a stable proportion and harmonized with surrounding within the proper hierarchy. -Frame shape design in which protruding stone surrounds the glass mass adds a three-dimensional effect to the elevation to provide sophisticated beauty in simplicity. At the same time, external urban landscapes permeate into the frame and create another landscape in connection with various activities inside the hotel.
