송도3동은 도시개발로 인한 인구유입으로 주민센터 및 노인복지관의 필요성이 제기됐다. 지역주민의 공공시설 인 만큼 지역을 대표하며 품격 있고 독창적인 공간을 적용시켜 지역주민의 공동체 커뮤니티를 수용해야 했다. 대지는 주거단지와 인접하며 송도3동의 중앙부에 위치한 곳으로 차량, 민원, 주민의 동선을 분리해야 했다. 1 층 중앙광장, 4층 옥상정원, 노인복지관의 옥상정원 등 옥내·외의 휴게공간을 구성하여 지역주민을 위한 공간 을 만들었다. 노인복지관과 주민센터는 운영형태와 공간에 대한 차별화가 필요했기 때문에 서로의 동선에 따 라 동을 나누었지만, 3층 연결통로를 통하여 공동으로 사용할 수 있는 방안도 마련됐다.

송도3동의 중심에 건립되어진 주민센터가 부지에 인접한 연결녹지를 대지 안으로 유입하여 공공시설로의 화 합과 힐링공간을 구성하여 생기와 활력이 넘치는 곳이 되길 기대한다.

Songdo-3dong was proposed the necessity of Community Service Center and Seniors Welfare Center due to the population inflow by the city development. Because it's the public facility of the resident, it should have accepted community of local resident by applying the space with representative, elegant and unique. The site was adjacent to the residence and located at the center of Songdo-3dong, the moving line of vehicle, civil complaint and resident should be divided. The space for local resident was made by composing interior and exterior resting places such as central square of 1st floor, roof top garden of 4th floor, roof top garden of Seniors Welfare Center. Because Community Service Center and Seniors Welfare Center needs the differentiation on operation type and the space, dong was divided according the moving line of each other, but the measure to use in common through the 3rd floor's passageway was prepared. Community Service Center which was constructed at the center of Songdo-3dong is trying to be the place that vitality and energy are pouring by inflow connecting green area adjacent to the site and composing harmony with the public facilities and healing space.
